SETISTOP-S - fireproof for wood; fireproof anti-decay; fireproof anti-mould
Over 500 samples belonging to structures we have fireproofed have been fire-tested: schools, hospitals, churches, train stations, hotels, etc... by all authorized institutions. All samples were found to be within the accepted parameters according to standards in-effect.
The SETISTOP-S DOES NOT CONTAIN ammonium phosphate or ammonium polyphosphate, substances which decompose thermally from 130 degrees Centigrade and in contact with flame, on wood surfaces fireproofed with products containing said substances, give off nitric oxide and highly toxic oxides of phosphorus. They can cause Asphyxia and collapse of the cardiovascular system to people directly exposed to the fire. For specialists, we provide detailed explanations on a webpage attached to the site, based on extensive technical documentation in the field (USA, ENGLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, JAPAN, NETHERLANDS).WE EMPHASIZE THAT SETISTOP-S DOES NOT GIVE OFF ANY TOXIC SUBSTANCES WHEN IN CONTACT WITH FIRE. The release of smoke is very low and the product is in the top category (S1) according to European Union standards EN 13501-1/2008 - "The Flame reaction" when it comes to this particular factor. .
is a product based on silicates and silica gel.
Fire Treatment (fireproofing)
, anti-decay and anti-mould of wooden structures located inside buildings.
How to use:
Target surface (wood or wood structures) must be cleaned of dust, any remains of previous fireproofing or debris, in advance. SETISTOP-S is applied by brushing or spraying the target surface with a mixture consisting of one part SETISTOP-S and one part water (in volume) in two successive layers. Humidity of the wood should not exceed 18% and the atmospheric humidity should not exceed 70%. After the drying of first layer, apply the second layer (after about 24 hours).
WARNING: DO NOT SPRAY THE GLASS, CERAMIC TILE, SANDSTONE AND TILE, BECAUSE IS DIFFICUL TO CLEAN!
HOW IT WORKS: SETISTOP-S
- chemically reacts with hydroxyl cellulose groups of wood which it partially blocks, opening retarding opening and ignition. Also, colloidal particles of nonorganic oxides and salts soluble in water in the fireproofer act as antipyrenes. Thermal production of the wood is also ensured by insoluble silicates which decompose at temperatures exceeding 1500 degrees Centigrade. By treating wood with SETISTOP-S a structure, with hardness comparable to glass, is created between the cellulose fibers ensuring protection against xylophagous insects (woodworms for example). The strong chemically basic nature and some anions (conjugated chemical bases) also protect the wood against molds and caries. SETISTOP-S has an anti mold effect(without containing any insecticides harmful to humans) thanks to conjugated chemical bases with an antifungal and bacteriostatic effect.
To be stored in tightly sealed containers at temperatures between − 10 degrees Centigrade and +45 degrees Celsius.
